My cycling history:
- Started using my MTB to commute (short distance) in 2001
- 2002 – C2C with John Bell, 135 miles 1.5 days
- 2006 – Walney to Wear (W2W), Martin Thomas, Jed Woodhouse, John Bell, 153 miles, 2 days
- 2007 – Southern Lochs and Glens (Glasgow to Carlisle) John Bell, 210 miles, 3 days
- 2008 – Coast and Castles, Jed Woodhouse, John Bell, 210 miles, 3 days
- 2009 – C2C ,135 miles with Jed Woodhouse, Andy Robinson
- End of 2009, purchased Dawes Ultra Galaxy for some serious attempts to come
- 2010 Hadrian’s Cycle Way, on my own (although Jed did up to half way and Simon from half way to finish), 170 miles, 1 (ONE) day – first person ever according to HCW website, despite strong headwinds for first 60 miles
- 2010 C2C – Chris Watts, Jed Woodhouse, Andy Robinson, John Bell (1st day), 135 miles 2 days
- Bought a Trek Madone 4.7 from KB Cycles (www.kbcycles.co.uk) so I can attempt some 100 mile sportifs to keep me sharp.
- Bought a Garmin 800 (fully loaded) to help with navigation and as a training aid
- 2011 Completed the Lands End to John O’Groats in August on my own on my heavyweight tourer, self supported, utilising B&B’s in August and completed it in 9 days 1.5hrs – Lejog is Lands End to John O’Groats so you can guess what JogLe is!! – checkout the blog www.nigelend2end.co.uk
